Li Chunping and his wife Wei Feng run a small grocery store in a small county in Guangxi Province. The store is located on the main road of the county so there is a high flow of customers every day. They have been running the business for decades and save some money. Coincidently, the landlord was selling his house, so Li bought the house and live happily with his family. In recent years, their business is on the right track and their children all have stable jobs in the city so the old couple enjoys a happy life.
Wei Feng has the habit of burning incense and worshiping the Buddha. At the beginning of 2013, a man who claimed as a Buddha disciple came to the store, promoted the Buddhism and gave her a disk with the topic of ‘Galactic Federation Enlightment University’. Since then, her life had been changed. She loved meditating in her house every day. The disk stated that ‘we can become Buddha without trouble and tiredness’. She held the disk and told Li Chunping that she already received ‘enlightment’ from the ‘Buddha Princess’ Zheng Hui and found the shortcut of becoming a Buddha. She can become a Buddha easily by looking into Zheng Hui’s eyes to receive enlightment.
After meditating, she began to have illusions, always saying things to herself and claiming that she saw the light of Buddha. She implanted ideas to Li Chunping every day and persuaded him to practice with her to achieve oneness with the universe and become the Buddha who has the Dharmakaya all over the universe.
At the beginning of April, Li Chunping began practicing after being persuaded by his wife. After meditating according to the video in the disk, he felt dizzy and painful in the head. However, Wei Feng did not worry. Instead, she was thrilled saying that it was the effect of the power. They needed to keep practicing to achieve the death proof bodies.
Li Chunping and his wife began paying attention to the ‘China Enlightment University’ and joined the online chatting group to communicate with other disciples. After a while, they became addicted to the practicing and had no minds for running the business and keeping relationships with friends. They felt all the things were not real and important except for becoming Buddha together. When neighbors, relatives and friends realized their difference, they tried to persuade them. However, the couple replied to the kindness hostilely and confusedly, which made people very disappointing.
Their daughter was worried after seeing her parents’ difference and prevented them in every possible way from the so-called ‘practicing’. However, the couple did not listen to their daughter and fight with her for several times. Due to a hot-tempered daughter and the stubborn parents, the family was in a mess. Li and his wife even said that they did not have such a daughter and cut the relationship with her.
In order to become Buddha, the couple practiced even more and invested a lot of money to advertise and participate in the practicing activities held by ‘China Enlightment University’. They did not care about the family spending and the business went down rapidly. Their lived abnormally and beyond their means. Li Chunping had headache repeatedly and a sore throat. Sometimes, he could not bear the pain, but Wei Feng did not care at all.
One morning at the end of April, Li Chunfeng had a sharp pain in his chest all of a sudden and was sent to the hospital immediately. Later, he was diagnosed with myocardial infarction. Fortunately, he was treated in time, otherwise he was likely to die. Wei Feng was shocked.

They wanted the couple to realize that Zheng Hui was lying and creating rumors under the cover of delivering living creatures from torment and tried to achieve hidden agendas through spiritual control. Experiencing the painful fact, the couple’s minds were shocked. They gradually eliminated the obsession for ‘China Enlightment University’ and becoming Buddha, saw through the evil nature of the ‘University’ and realized that it could only lead to death by believing in it. The couple extremely regretted when knowing all the truth about the cult.
